Try Something New

Try something new… this could relate to anything, health-related or not. Obviously, I’m going to make it health-related, but it’s a good idea to try something new in every aspect of your life every so often. We are typically creatures of habit. To avoid getting “stuck in a rut” or feeling like everyday is very monotonous, we should try something new every once in a while. This can apply to exercise and diet as well. Are you stuck in the normal routine of stopping at a fast food restaurant every Tuesday (for example) or do you do the same exercise routine or activity every week?

Try something new! Make a deal with yourself to try something new every month. Maybe you can try a new fruit or vegetable that you’ve never eaten before. Maybe you can go to a local rock climbing gym if you’ve never been rock climbing. There are so many (healthy) foods and (healthy) activities out there that you may find out you really enjoy. Challenge yourself each month with one new choice.
